Job Description

Manage the club’s Personal Training Department and assist in all club operations. Directly supervise the employees of this program and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training, setting revenue targets, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and recommending discipline, addressing complaints and resolving problems, and recommending termination. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, hire; supervise, discipline, and if required, terminate staff for assigned departments and programs. 
  • Set revenue and performance goals for staff and assist them in achieving their goals. 
  • Train and educate Personal Trainers and Sales Representatives on all aspects of single and group personal training agreements for presentation to new guests and existing members. 
  • Actively conduct sales presentation (periodization) for all new guests according to Club16LP policies and procedures. 
  • Fitness Manager (FM) is required to work 40 hours per week managing the PT program. 
  • Schedule prior to 3pm is flexible. Evening “Peak Time Shift” is set from 4 pm to 7 pm. 
  • Schedule must show a minimum of 40 hours of management per week and a maximum of 15 hours of Personal Training per week 

Qualifications

  • Six-months or more of supervisory experience. 
  • Associate of Arts degree or higher (Preferred) 
  • Current and Valid CPR – Mandatory 
  • Current and Valid National Fitness Certification – Mandatory
  • Daily duties – lifting weights and performing movements on all planes.
