Studio Manager

Job Description

The Studio Manager ensures operational efficiency and provides leadership to support the studio’s financial objectives. You’ll work closely with customer service and trainer teams to deliver operational excellence. Strong communication skills and high energy are essential for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement systems and operational training for studio leaders.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness and equipment standards.
  • Educate and enforce studio policies and procedures, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Ensure operational efficiencies, including cost control, studio maintenance, and team quality control.
  • Train new Front of House staff and supervisors.
  • Oversee scheduling and quality control for all teams (Front of House, Personal Training, Motivators).
  • Coordinate daily operational activities: maintenance, cleanliness, inventory, supplies, budget, payroll, and communications.
  • Track and achieve sales targets (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual).
  • Drive revenue and manage expenses to meet financial performance targets.
  • Collaborate with private training team leads to meet or exceed training forecasts.
  • Uphold Brand Promise and Core Values.

Must Have’s:

  • Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle continuous feedback.
  • Leadership experience in health, fitness, or hospitality industries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High energy and enthusiasm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management tools.
  • Accounting experience is an asset.
  • Customer-focused and team-oriented mindset.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of management experience.
  • Coaching and leadership experience is an asset or demonstrate strong leadership potential.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to implement training rhythms to ensure team quality.
  • Confidently manage conflict in high-pressure situations.
