Vice President of Finance

Remote – Northeast region

Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Finance (VP of Finance) is responsible for the overall financial management of the company. This includes developing and implementing financial strategies, managing financial risks, and ensuring the company’s financial compliance. The VP of Finance also works closely with the CEO and other senior executives to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Manage financial risks and ensure the company’s financial stability. 
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external
    stakeholders. 
  • Oversee the company’s financial reporting and analysis. 
  • Manage the company’s budget and forecasted financial performance. 
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures. 
  • Ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable financial regulations. 
  • Work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in a financial management role 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience with financial modelling and forecasting 
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis 
  • Experience with financial regulations 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance from accredited college/university required. 
  • CPA or previous Controller experience, a plus
  • This role is remote, but the candidate must be based in the Northeast region. 
  • 20% Travel within the existing club footprint – VT, MA, CT, PA, NJ, NY
  • Deep experience in a high-growth, multi-unit operating environment.
  • Fitness industry experience is helpful.
