Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Lagree Lead Trainer. As the Lead Trainer, you will play a critical role in mentoring, guiding, and supporting a team of over 20 Lagree-certified part-time trainers, ensuring exceptional client experiences while fostering a positive, collaborative environment among the training team. The Lagree Lead Trainer will be responsible for teaching 10-15 classes per week and stepping in as a substitute when needed. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends mentorship, training, and team-building skills. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a mentor to a team of 20+ part-time Lagree-certified trainers, providing support, guidance, and encouragement.
  • Lead bi-monthly workshops to help trainers refine their skills in cuing, injury modification, pre/post-natal care, and effective client communication.
  • Foster a culture of ongoing education and skill development, encouraging trainers to continually improve and expand their knowledge base in Lagree.
  • Provide each trainer with bi-monthly constructive feedback and performance reviews, with actionable suggestions for improvement.
  • Organize and guide a peer-review program, pairing trainers each month to observe one another’s classes, provide feedback, and share insights.
  • Cultivate a positive, supportive atmosphere among the training team, helping to build strong, open communication channels and fostering a sense of community and collaboration among the trainers and between the trainers and management.  
  • Actively support studio growth by promoting private sessions, memberships, other trainers’ classes, and other studio initiatives. Work with management to organize and lead the bi-annual mentorship program for Lagree Certified trainees who are working towards joining the studio roster.  

Qualifications:

Level One Lagree Certification: A strong understanding of Lagree principles and techniques is required. The ideal candidate will hold a Level Two or greater certification.

Fitness Knowledge: In-depth understanding of anatomy, body mechanics, and exercise physiology.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and energize trainers and clients in both group and private settings. Studio experience is a plus.

Adaptability: Expertise in creating personalized fitness programs and offering modifications to accommodate varying fitness levels and goals.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication to effectively connect with clients and and trainers to deliver clear instructions.

Passion for Fitness: Genuine enthusiasm for fitness, health, and the Lagree method, along with a commitment to the studio community.
